A wandering look over the European cities makes us aware of the river within. There's a wealthy relation going on between the two elements, not always peaceful, not always in harmony, but perpetual and long lasting. This project shall be that "close look" and will show the pupils how to understand the historic, political, social and cultural elements that determined the birth and development of the European capitals.

Greetings from Glasgow. We have had a bit of a slow start since we returned from Poland (where we had a wonderful time, thanks again ladies :-) )
Many of the pupils who were involved in the project last year will not take part again this session - we are hoping to involve new pupils as they come through the school. many first year pupils have expressed an interest. Margaret and I have meet with the core group, Demi, Chloe, Kayleigh, Zoe and Samantha, and we have discussed ideas both for the film and for Portugal's visit in freezing January.
For our film, we are thinking of going to a place near the beginning of the river Clyde - it is an historical place called New Lanark. We are just at the ideas stage right now though - in next month's update I hope we will have more solid ideas to share.
We have not yet been able to figure out if we can access skype somewhere in the school - the only alternative I can think is that I bring my laptop in and we can try to take part next time?
I will post some photos of our group and of our school later in the week.
Cold and rainy regards, Paula.
